Oh yeah, a new compilation probably means a couple of new tracks as well, which will be nice to look forward to, perhaps a new one off single as well. Thanks Manics!

That was more than just the back, they brought the stage to almost half way and sectioned all that was behind them off! Wolves Civic is about the best for a full house gig

You know what'd be pretty awesome? A singles box much like Blur did around their first compilation. Each single on a separate disc and with all their b-sides included in the respective discs, hosted in a big box.

Okay so that'd be strictly for the rich fans but still. That'd be awesome.

And completely unlikely.

Waiting for the single-disc big hits comp that ignores certain albums ever existed.

They've backpedaled on loads of things they never said they'd do. Love songs, ballads, adverts to name but a few.

I couldn't really care what's on it (everyone on here shouldn't either) as I've already got all the songs, bar the couple of new tunes that they'll probably put on it. I hope this signifies the beginning of a long break.

They should do it like Blur's Midlife: A selection of greatest hits, the best album tracks and some favourites of the band. Blur omitted Country House but used Trimm Trabb and Bugman, and I think that's the right way to do it.

Also also, the massive wish for a live album is something I've never understood. They're a good group live and all but they're not so spectacular that an audio-only recording of their gig would be anything more than discography filler.

(no I really don't have time or concentration for anything else than random non sequiturs spamming up the topic)

This band have become so boring They really do approach everything as if it's part of a 9-5 job now. Fuck creativity and fuck good music.

Yeah, the atmosphere accounts for a lot of the live shows I think. I've never been terribly impressed by live shows I've heard and not seen.
