James & Davina
The famous video of James and groupie-extradordinaire Davina™ is so embarrassing to watch.
Am I correct in saying Richey had to endure Clapton* in the Prory (probably paying out his 12-step dues**). I am proud of Jimmy boy calling of Davina for her tacit racism. Burn in hell Davina. Rip * Davina was Clapton's muse. Love her. ** Anthony hopkins was in the Cloud's House commercial, christ they made me watch that shite *** there's a lithium shortage... go with it Last edited by taxexile; 18-09-2020 at 19:55. |

The video, for reference: https://youtu.be/rZl03N7hQDs?t=293
On the note of that question of whether James had a favourite of Noel or Liam, one neat little bit of trivia to add there is that, apparently, he was quite friendly with Noel back in the 90s. Noel tells the story that he sat with James on the train on the way from Wales to London just after Morning Glory had been mastered. James listened to Noel's new album, being possibly the first outside the Oasis camp to do so, and told him he really liked it, describing it as "earthy". So, that's nice. What did Davina say that was racist? Can't be bothered watching the clip again. I do remember James saying "thanks love" to a caller which was a tad dismissive. He definitely couldn't be arsed with any of that interview but it was very funny

The racist dig was tongue in cheek though thanks love is more common amongst Yorkshire bus drivers Generally (not aimed at you hummingbird) I get Davina can be a little hyper but female presenters don't have many options and put up with a lot more abuse Just sayings....

That's very true. I like Davina, felt a bit sorry for her in that clip

On the video, I think it's funny that Davina asked James to say 'fish and chips' in Welsh.
James says he'd forgotten how to say that or something? It looks like he doesn't want to be on the show actually. I think calling Davina a racist in the 90s is a much serious implication nowadays and like James would now say she was a racist in an interview with him. Its just ridiculous. When I was on holiday in Wales a few years ago all of the road signs and lovely places are Welsh so really does anyone initally read them all correctly. |
