Songs by other artists that mention MSP.

I know there was a thread likes this a while ago but it seems to have vanished, I know about the mentions by Robbie Williams, HMHB and The Art Goblins but this is new on me despite being years old https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDCLeeMYYzM Ouch!

Christy Moore - Arthur's Day mentions MSP (it is not about them...they are just mentioned in passing).

Most bands have no respect for us at all
Which is fine because we didn't form a band
To get respect from other musicians, you know
That was never an important criteria to us
It's just tragic I think

The most negative ones always seem to come from bands I've never heard of. Here are some more, which may not be real*.

'JDB You're So Rusty' by The Artisan 30 Whelk Pickers
'Nicky Wire has a Van for Hire (But It's Rubbish!)' by Errant Vehicular Trolls
'Moore or Less' by Silent Drummer Stalkers of Cleethorpes
'Really Poor Taste Richey Song' by Eddie Lame and the Instant Fails
'Man, Ick Street Pre-Chairs' by Awkward Punners

*ok, completely made-up

Might be a bit tenuous, but doesn't Wood Cabin by St Etienne quote directly from an early Manics interview?

There's a chumbawamba song called "passenger list for doomed flight 1721", in which they list lots of people they dislike. Nicky Wire is mentioned alongside Tony Blair, General Pinochet, and Mick Hucknall.

Not quite what you're looking for, but

Quote:
“The Marxists, Situationists, pseudo-bisexual-BAD POETS avec eyeliner, pseudo-leopardskin BAD POETS sans eyeliner, and the rest of the Cult Of Nothing should accept, for the last time, that with Richey went all feeble hopes of purity and guitars and profound graffiti.”
Pete Doherty (later of The Libertines, Babyshambles), when he was 18 and writing a letter to NME in 1997.
