The Second Great Depression - the intro, and JDB's scream into the chorus. It was the first Manics song I ever heard, and it literally took my breath away.

Also, I'm really pleased with the range of music represented in this thread - it's not just the old stuff that brings everyone such emotion.

to be honest.. the only reason i listen to the manics rather than other music, is because of the goosebumps.. for me thats the pleasure of music.. i think music should give you a moment of a time when nothing else matters, just the feeling of enjoyment there and then. thats why the manics is so great. no other band can give that pleasure..

Bassline in 4Ever Delayed. I don't know how to explain. There's something special about it that creates sad and tragic atmosphere.

The Soulmates gives me crazy goosebumps.

The JDB song Still A Long Way To Go has a really wicked
goosebumps moment in the chorus, where James delivers
perhaps his best vocal performance ever.

The Donkeys solo.

Repeat, live at T In The Park '94. Incredible.

JDB's wailing vocals in Ain't Goin' Down.

3 early moments on the Journal For Plague Lovers album:
No.1; Christian Bale at the beginning of Peeled Apples,
No.2; When That bassline opens Peeled Apples, and
No.3; When the drum beat of Peeled Apples starts with a cymbal
crash and that driving ride cymbal.

Oh. And there's loads of goosebumps moments scattered
all across THB and EMG. ;-)

The Walk Me To The Bridge solo, including the fraction of a second pause before he launches into it. Had it on in the car full blast this afternoon!

There's nothing I wanna see, There's nowhere I wanna go. It does do that wierd shingle thing.

No Surface, All Feeling was the last song at my wedding. When they played it at Brixton I started crying. I guess that's a similar thing?
