McFly seem to associate James Dean Bradfield with slagging them off. Journalist doesn't confirm.
I don't remember hearing him go on or mention McFly?

Not posting the Sean Tweets (Thanks LA Ex!) but this was the article Sean took exception to.

You know the gif with the white rabbit pulling a face and the word "huh?" underneath? That's my reaction on reading that

I'm failing to understand his point too, that last paragraph is nonsensical to me. Even though the choice of title is meant to reference the fact the word is overused by all sides for things they don't like.
Anyway, what tweets are people referring to? I see nothing on sean's twitter feed.

I think as he replied to someone else's tweets rather than put out his own original one it doesn't show up on his twitter feed, but you should be able to find his replies in here:

Ah thanks, i was looking at poole's twitter feed. I've seen some nasty twitter threads in my time but that one is a polite sit down for tea and crumpets in comparison.
Again though, isn't the song also saying that orwell's nineteen eighty-four should be taken as a warning and not a suggestion? It's a muddled mess of an article.

It was a slight exaggeration on my behalf to describe Sean's interactions as a fight, but it's still nice to see the band (especially the 'quiet' man of the group) caring enough to answer back to criticism.

If only twitter had been around in the mid nineties for Nicky to use!

I agree with Sean in that I don't understand Poole's point neither....to me the song is pointing out that we live in a time of Newspeak which we do in many ways....some irony maybe in the fact that Poole who writes about language has missed the meaning here but then maybe...as with so many these days...they miss someone else's point in their blind eagerness to make their own.....
