Don't you know? You got a free download with the presale tickets. MiPoltigsDugri is my current favourite track, don't think much of S.Y.M.M.C.I.T.Y. though.

Of course to be serious for a minute, the release date for Futurology will be...

...in the future.

If the release date is forever in the future...

...will it just never come out?

(Unless we bend the future light comb thank you Brian Cox)

My favourite track is Professor Brian Cox's Exponential Bullshit Hour.

But that spoken word guerilla recording of Nicky putting the world to rights is a direction they might be dropping in the future. Especially as it involved Nicky on a tape recorder getting chased off the street by a group of angry EDL supporters.
Leave that sort of stuff to BBC Three comedians in future, Nicky!

hahah.

It will be in the future.

When released, it was to be released in the future, but will have been released in the past.

Pin-pointing the actual, exact and precise moment of release is tricky, perhaps indefinable. All we can do is approximate by a rough period of time, such as a day, or hour, or minute, or second, or nanosecond, etc… . However short an amount of time we approximate to, one could argue for a further fraction of that amount, hence us never really being sure. We can approximate to a 'release date' but then things like time zones (do we go by GMT? Why? Debate...), and the minuscule deviations of the Earth upon its axis and the tiny impact upon space-time that has also makes it difficult to define the commencement of that date.

So in some ways, it will never be released at all. It will have been simply due to be released… then have been released. The moment of release is somewhat difficult to identify. But we can say it will be released, until we are aware it has been released.

I dreamt last night that the Manics released the new album as a digital download for Christmas, but it was basically made up of songs they've already released before, just with different arrangements and new titles!

Ladies and gentlemen, the new Manics album, "Devouring People As If They Were Flies".

(sounds very THB-era!)

I can exclusively reveal that Futurology will in fact be one long track consisting of Nicky maniacally mumbling this over some old Wire b-sides. True facts.
