I like the phrase 'much like Bowie's Low' a lot.

Sounds like it's all about Tokyo Skyline to me. Although, that said, the entire thing sounds incredibly delicious. Cannot wait.

Curiously enough, it also makes me think the demo disc on the deluxe edition will actually have something interesting to share. The idea of bare-bones demos of largely acoustic songs was a bit dubious originally, but seems like the album's sound world is far richer than the "acoustic album" moniker makes it look like.

Wow. Nice summary of the album. I am really looking forward to it. The entire lead up and publicity of this release has been very well done. A lot of thought has gone into it and will reward the band.

It's certainly a glowing review of the album, but for me, that means nothing until I've actually heard the tracks for myself. Don't get me wrong, I am interested to hear it, but I'm not getting carried away yet, seen as whether you like or dislike a song is completely subjective, regardless of how many adjectives someone uses to convince you it's the best thing since sliced bread

As I've mentioned before on here, it seems they've been quite influenced by Bowie for this record, so that would make sense.

"While it shares some of the stately grandeur of This Is My Truth, Rewind The Film carries a great deal more adventure, scope, eclecticism, hope and vibrancy." *breathes huge sigh of relief*

Impossible. I bet there's not even a single castanet solo.

Well that review did nothing to dispel the mass anticipation and excitement I have, waiting for the release of the album. Really well written review! "Future classic" ... can only hope

Parts of it are reminding me of The Beatles - Abbey road that uplifting, strings and brass concoction... I quite like it so far, it has that dark lyrics versus upbeat(in the main) music thing going on that EMG had but it's also musically grander and surprising in parts. My favourite tracks so far the hymn-like 'As Holy As The Soil', the dreamy vocals on 'An Anthem for a Lost Cause' and 'Running out of Fantasy' which has a smidge of Small Black Flowers about it...I don't think it has leaked I have got a promo.I won't say anymore I don't want to spoil it for ya!

Is there a track on it that's made you go "YOU IDIOT!! WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU RELEASE THAT AS A SINGLE INSTEAD OF THAT WONDER NONSENSE?"
Albeit in less capitals.

'As Holy As The Soil' or 'An Anthem for a Lost Cause' sound like potential singles to me yeah, very uplifting.
