Yay.
Depends how many people are relatively local. Cardiff's only 40 mins from me so I won't be taking up any hotel beds or train spaces

There's a bus every half hour, latest one is 22:50 I think. That could be a decent alternative.

Does this sound like a feasible option to try to save some money, or should we just stick with what we've got?
There's a bus roughly every 10-15 minutes, latest one to go as far as Pentwyn should be around 11pm I think (happy to be corrected though!). That's at the moment anyway

Yay.
It is a city, with lots of hotels and it will have a big local turn out. It should be fine...

...this however, could fuck it up for everyone.

I'll be on the last train home however!

£41.25 + http://www.gigsandtours.com/event/ma...-castle/836040

It says show starts 6pm. I hope they have a decent support band for that kind of venue.

Newport is where I've booked. It isn't too bad, and there does seem to be a later train back than there was in 2011. I seem to remember getting a taxi back from that show, which again, wasn't obscenely expensive.

23.20 I think the last train to Newport is, which should bemore than adequate if gig is over by 10.30 / 10.45.

Times for June aren't available yet, but a quick search for a Friday night in February shows trains to Newport at 23:20, 23:27, and 00:30, so anyone catching the train should be okay in that respect.
