I never understood the fuss, either. If I had the money I'd do it too, even as a humble punter. Diva-ish is wanting like 10,000 flowers in your dressing room, I don't see anything wrong with not wanting to go in a skanky disgusting toilet that's been shat in by thousands of people.

I think Billy Bragg made a fuss about it because it supposedly went against the 'spirit of Glastonbury', the whole "we're all one big hippy family for the weekend!" thing.

Plus he thought it was ironic that a socialist band had a private loo.

At the end of the day, it was probably the only headline the NME could make out of that year's Glasto - and fitted in with the whole Manics backlash they had going on at the time.

The 'Crappergate' business was all a bit of a laugh though, I reckon. Who wouldn't want their own loo at Glasto???
