Me too!!! Their two best albums imo! And I haven't heard either live!
They probably think that the majority of their younger fans (after THB) are more pop oriented and would find THB and JFPL too depressive to listen to. They have an adverse effect on me, however, and I guess there are many others like us two. Or maybe they don't want to re-live those feelings any more.
Anyway, a 25 song setlist is great news! Especially since this is my first MSP gig!

I recall James saying something like they will never play THB in its entirety because they don't feel the anger and disgust as they did in 1994. I can understand that but it's a shame that we never get to hear great songs like 'Yes' or 'Die in the Summertime'.
You're right, those two records don't make me feel depressed, they rather intensify my previous mood (THB in particular, JFPL not so much. They're also my two favourite records btw).
I'm glad that you finally get to see them live

6. Faster
7. Let Robeson Sing
8. La Tristesse
9. Kevin Carter
10. Tsunami
11. The Masses
12. This is the Day
13. Ocean Spray
14. From Despair to Where
15. You Love Us
16. Autumn Song
17. Some Kind of Nothingness
18. Tolerate

I can sort of understand James' reasoning about not playing THB in full live to a degree but still! It would be brilliant all the same! I think Dermot O'Leary was attempting to get him to consider it in that interview he did with him with the guitar lesson!

Thanks! I've been watching all those yt live videos, but I can't really imagine what the feeling must be like when you're actually there!

With now only 13 songs to leave out, they can't really go amiss with the set list, can they?

But that doesn't mean that they will actually play 25 songs at each concert, does it?

Yes, he did. It was a reply like "we're not going to play 38 songs this time, but 25 of them will do"
