Wasn't actually expecting anything truly unheard ,so 3 'new' songs is a bit of a turn up!

Well, that's going to make a lot of people angry when they announce the price for the shoebox.

Couldn't have asked for much more from this, really. Maybe a live disc wouldn't have gone amiss but they've pretty much nailed it for a change. And there's still the book and 10" to come.

Edit: Oh wait, spoke too soon, according to that there's no You Love Us demo included. There was one on the Lipstick Traces bootleg, wasn't there? I've heard one somewhere. Let's call the whole thing off!!

God damn it this is going to bankrupt me. I'll be on the streets by Xmas, eating out of bins, stinkin' in rags, penniless and destitute...but by Jimminy they'll have to take my CD3 from my cold dead hands!

Was that picture taken with a potato?

If people are worried about the 3rd disc just do what folks have been doing for years when it comes to weird Japanese b-sides and things. Just buy, say the album in the DVD+2CD format, and acquire the rest.

As well as using the Heavenly version of You Love Us instead of the demo, that 2nd version of Motown Junk is obviously the single. Desire to moan increasing. At least dump it on the b-sides disc. That kind of works.

Oh, are you the one that insults me once per month when you've got nothing better to add to a discussion? That's what really ruins my three seconds per month.

Nah, I'm only kidding really, I guess I should have put a at the end of it. But the fact you sometimes persist with nitpicking like this sometimes makes for weary reading. No offence meant though.

For the record, I was going to come back later and comment, but just in the vein of everyone else really, that the CD3 looks enticing but the cost is going to be a bitch.

Colt 45? Wasn't that mentioned in Everything as a lost track? Colt 45 Rusty James or something like that.

Fair enough, I should put at the end of 99% of my posts.

It's just that I spend too much time reading this forum. As you can see, they're already on their fourth thread for the forthcoming Beatles vinyl box set. I'd leave here and post about the Manics over there but I'm still not anal enough to be taken in by them yet.

I always find demos pretty disappointing...with the manics they usually just sound like crappy versions of the real songs, they aren't usually that interesting.

Looks like it's thrown together on word & re-sized to fit a CD inlay. Just saying innit.
