Culture, Alienation, Boredom & Despair: A Manic Street Preachers Podcast

Spotify link

There’s an official Manics podcast coming. ‪I predict that each episode will be an hour of Nicky talking 50% truth and 50% made up shite, Bradders constantly saying “It’s like, yeah, urm, you know, like...” and Sean only saying a single sentence but it ends up being the highlight of the episode.‬

I can’t wait!

Destroy this five year old Tablet installing Spotify or not?

Great news though! I like to think they've listened to the recent podcasts and are all "Nooo!! Stop getting Manics wrong!!".
I obviously can't hear trailer yet, but who is moderating?

I agree, peak manics has long passed and my fear was this band getting somewhat forgotten so if things like this make more people aware then great.
I am extremely curious as to what form it's going to take, like if the band make any appearances on it.

Contrary to the past, this just has to be hosted and mainly spoken by Sean.

Going by tomorrow Observer interview, it's James interviewing people such as Emma Thompson and Dafydd Ewan who were inspired by Jara

I'm not expecting this to be about the band's career, really. Or the three of them having a chat. It'll be a promotional tool and the feed will kick into gear around album cycles. First incarnation seems to be James's interviews as mentioned above. Once the Even In Exile cycle is complete it may well go silent until we then get interviews with the band in the run up to whatever they end up releasing next. Will listen to any of them talk about anything though, so I'm quite excited for it! And would also love to be wrong.

If we don't get at least half hour on the saga of sean's god damn fridge/freezer i'll be feeling cheated.
