Manics driving playlist
I'm driving around Dorset and Cornwall in the summer and I'd like to do a manics playlist to listen to in the car. My friend, who's doing most of the driving, doesn't know much about the manics but I don't want to play their whole discography to her. Any suggestions?

Anything will do. I have a few Manics compilation CDs I made myself for my car, all different stuff, from singles, album tracks, few live numbers, b-sides to stuff like Ghosts of Christmas

Masking Tape, You Love Us, Motorcycle Emptiness, Australia, Jackie Collins, Prologue To History, We Are All Bourrgeois Now, Last Exit On Yesterday would be some of my picks, especially as it's going to be a summer playlist..

Informative road trip playlist to convert a non-fan:
Motorcycle Emptiness La Tristessa Faster Australia You Stole The Sun Found That Soul Judge Yourself Your Love Alone... Jackie Collins (by now the songs all flow into one another quite well and you've covered most of their discography and got her attention. Slow things down a bit. Get frisky) A Design For Life This Is Yesterday I Live To Fall Asleep If You Tolerate This... Small Black Flowers The Everlasting There By The Grace Of God A Song For Departure All Surface No Feeling (end on a high...) Suicide Is Painless Yes Enola/Alone Me And Stephen Hawking You Love Us From Despair To Where Montana The Masses Against The Classes SOLD.

Am I the only person who misread this at a first quick glance as 'Manics driving test'?
That I'd like to see. "Keep left and then crash..."

If you're going to put in There By The Grace of God I've always played To Repel Ghosts and Forever Delayed around it. They go together seemlessly. The eltroronic-rock period of their career. Haha.
