Great video though. ADFL 10 minutes into the show to a largely bemused audience? Them were t'days eh!
Probably couldn't get their heads round the change from THB to EMG! I take it this would have been one the early airings of ADFL then, unless they had performed it live before this?

Thanks for sharing this, it was emotional. Especially as I turned down the chance to go as "they wouldn't sound the same with just three of them". What a twat I was.

I've not read a manics biography since i was 17, but i seem to recall something about their first post Richey gig being at the Hacienda?

No THB tracks at that gig? A sign of what was to come for the next 17 years

Watching now, amazing viewing considering its place in their history. Surprising to see James fired up like that. And the first public performance of the life affirming Design For Life too. Thanks for the link.

Bit of a stretch!? I know they stuck to the safe choices of Faster and This Is Yesterday for a while but there are only two tracks they haven't played from that album since Richey disappeared.

An average of I'd say about two tracks a gig from THB isn't good enough for this fan anyway.
Not that I wouldn't have expected anything from it if i had been there on the night of the Stone Roses support. Still pretty raw and all that.
