Maybe he will change his song again and the Manics can do it for him then?

I guess if they'd recorded something they would have mentioned it. Shame.

The title of this thread is incredibly misleading. I am sure the band only care for real sports anyway and not this fake pantomine (yes, these people are athletes but it is still staged!).

No different to EastEnders, Game of Thrones or Hamlet at the local theatre. They never say on wrestling that it's a sport.

No biggie. It was nice of them to offer to write him a song. Nothing wrong with wrestling ... All they make is entertainment after all.

Yay. From the Digital Spy interview:
We spoke to WWE Superstar Wade Barrett last year - is anything going to come of you doing his theme music? "Now this could be a way of being young again! He has got in touch and we are thinking of it. James would love to let loose on a real f**king metal, really '80s metal riff. His tattoos are amazing, he's a proper hardcore fan. Which is very odd, when he gets on stage in those skimpy little pants. "I suppose it's quite fitting. I think it might happen actually. I think when we get a bit of downtime James would like to do it. It's the genius of being in the band - Arthur Scargill, Kylie Minogue and Wade Barrett. That's our demographic." http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/in...cher-died.html |

The shortened version of that link is quite funny - Cher died? Really?!

They should do a reworked version of Yes for Daniel Bryan instead.

I actually tweeted Wade Barrett a few weeks ago, he was answering questions for something, and asked him what's up with the Manics theme music, and said they were too busy, I guess doing stuff for the new record, to do his theme.

As for Wade Barrett, what if something on "Futurology" would be a good fit as a wrestling theme? They could arrange a deal with WWE for Wade to use it as a theme, good exposure for the band stateside, Wade gets his favourite band playing before his matches, win all round.
