Tallinn

A first time for the Manics to visit Estonia and quite possibly the first time they've headlined a beer festival. Beer was actually very good and cheap and the place was quite busy although not too busy to move around. Whilst the crowds were probably mainly locals, there were also a fair contingent of UK holidaymakers, including the inevitable annoying stag party in front of us.

By the time the Manics came onto the stage facing the massive Song Festival stage (capacity 30,000), there was quite a large crowd gathered and they launched into Motorcycle Emptiness. They followed that with 90 mins of top tunes from National Treasures including the usual favourites from the Richey days and since. Only song I'd not heard in a while was Revol which was great and somewhat appropriate given the country's history.

Now, the only question is do I go see them in Latvia in a fortnight?

I can't talk today

Despite my initial fears that no one would show up, it was a brilliant gig

I'm doing Latvia in a couple of weeks...

It was a good concert, I enjoyed the newer songs a lot, and was surprised by Revol. Nicky looked quite sad mostly, James said he loved the beer and food and people.

I took some photos and videos but they are of poor quality so no use sharing all of them.

Great pictures! Glad you had a good time. I think both Nick and James have been quite taken with Tallinn.

Haha the wonderful Knowlede banner. Brilliant. Yeah James has put on a bit of weight again but not to worry. Nicky looks pretty cool. Hope some video clips appear somewhere on the internet soon, I want to see new Manics footage!!
