Sort of has a Lifeblood-esque feel to it. If the album has a similar sound, I'll be quite happy with it

That photo is fucking stunning. No wonder Bradders found it so inspiring!
JDB: “The fact that he carried his guitar up thousands of feet into the gods just to have the experience is something I fell in love with. The picture is a fantasy made real, it looks like organic prog! It screams, ‘I’ve got the freedom to do what I want’, and I found it as inspiring as anything.”

79th on Itunes, I have no idea if that’s good or bad.
Anyone had a crack at the lyrics? |

I don't know how engaged I am with the subject matter but I like the sound of the two new songs. I like the gloom, for some reason, as opposed to the ping ping ping, ding ding ding of Resistance is Futile.

The guitars in Seeking The Room are very Maurice Deebank from Felt.

Seeking The Room With The Three Windows
Oof! Again again trigger and from listening again, that's no trumpet? It's some synth? Guitar synth? There must be that technology to make your guitar sound like anything. Might be obvious it isn't a real trumpet, but it doesn't matter as much as it adds to the piece. I thought the first track I heard was stuck in head, but this is really stuck internally. *Delivery on album release Well that's opened, let's listen and check the credits for... Oh. It was an actual trumpeter. |

I have both on repeat. I actually enjoy both of them VERY much.
Khizzy (cheers) - I agree, if the rest of the album sounds like this it'll be great.

If you click on the Show More on the YouTube video, you can find the lyrics.

I love that image posted up-thread, i can see why he'd be totally inspired by that.
I love the dark, broody atmos of the first track - the music, video, lyrics all seem to intersect quite appropriately to our current turbulent times. No? The second track throwing some much needed light on the shade and sounds like it could belong on futurology. This has gotta be the machu picchu track.

Please, he prayed, now - A gray disk, the colour of Chiba sky. Now - Disk beginning to rotate, faster, becoming a sphere of paler gray. Expanding - And flowed, flowered for him, fluid neon origami trick, the unfolding of his distanceless home, his country, transparent 3D chessboard extending to infinity. Inner eye opening to the stepped scarlet pyramid of the Eastern Seaboard Fission Authority burning beyond the green cubes of Mitsubishi Bank of America, and high and very far away he saw the spiral arms of military systems, forever beyond his reach. And somewhere he was laughing, in a white-painted loft, distant fingers caressing the deck, tears of release streaking his face. |

Watched the video... I guess I will grow to like it like I do most new Manics stuff, but it doesn't seem like lead single material at all, I just felt underwhelmed and bored to be honest on first listen. I guess I liked the sombre tone, but the chorus really had nothing whatsoever, it feels a bit like a throwaway album track, but I know after multiple forced listens I will 'get it', but most people wouldn't give it a second listen.

I liked the lead single straight away. You couldn't possibly know that most people wouldn't give it a second listen just cos you don't like it.
