BBC Radio 6 Music - Album Of The Day

Hey Guys,

I'm sure that more than a few of you have read the fantastic articles published in NME yesterday about The Holy Bible? Well wouldn't it be fantastic if we could push the album further into the public consciousness and get people to actually listen to the album rather than just read about it?

BBC Radio 6 have something called Album Of The Day, which they typically play tracks sporadically throughout the day from an album that is deemed newsworthy as it is a highly anticipated upcoming release. They did this with Rewind The Film.
But now and then they will make a re-release their album of the day, like they did with Nirvana's Nevermind.

Now I know that an album condensed with imagery of the sex industry, death, racism, capital punishment, anorexia and The Final Solution is hardly radio friendly.
But BBC Radio 6 have consistently showed massive support for the Manics, and given it's significance in the pop, rock and music landscape there is a chance they might go for it.

So how about giving them a shout on Twitter, Facebook or whatever? Maybe give my tweet a RT and whoever else gets involved. Make sure you also include #THB20 as it would be fantastic to get that trending.

Let's make the shots for mass communication continue to echo forever. Ever. Ever.

Thrilled to get RTs from a lot of you guys. Plus just got some support and a RT by Tom Robinson to a load of people at the BBC!
