Between the clock and the bed
What do people think of this track? Im not sure about it at the moment. I dont like the guest vocals much. And it sounds as though the drums have been sampled from reel around the fountain by the smiths, but put through some effects. Has anyone else noticed this?

Great track, dislike Green.

I have no problem at all with the guest vocals. It's a good tune; I especially like how the last part of the song has Beach Boys style harmonies and a chord sequence that's very reminiscent of 1970's Genesis.

This is the only track I'm struggling with, simply because of Scripply Golipoli's voice

I like the song overall, but hate the guest vocal. Can't wait to hear the demo!

Agree totally with this. JDB sings it way better!

Great shout with the Reel around the fountain drums! I'm not hugely fond of Green's voice but it makes you appreciate how great Jame's is when he comes in.

Not a Scritti fan, but I quite like Green's voice on this one.

Possibly my favourite, though Black Square, Europa and Let's Go To War are also vying for that position. I'm not a fan of Green's voice from what I've heard of Scritti Politti (too honeyed), but his vocals seem to work very well within the context of the song.

We are still waiting on this section, it's gonna be badass. But while you wait perhaps you would care to peruse the lyrics for 'Underdogs' and 'Your Love Is Not Enough', from the album 'Send Away The Tigers'. Last edited by Marconi Delorian; 07-07-2014 at 10:15. |

The demo isn't the best, nice to hear JDB singing it but his voice in the verses sounds a bit too "harsh". Plus the best bit is the ending and it would have been great to hear JDB singing that on his own, but they left it without vocals which is a huge shame!

This is my favourite song on the album as of now!
The last minute of the song is epicness. Love it. Drive, and listen loud.

Joint favourite track! Think the lyrics are great and catchy and I agree with Marconi Delorian that Green's voice suits it and especially contrasting with James's vocals.

Green's voice is ok for me until the last bit. Reading through the lyrics, I couldn't see why JDB couldn't have sung the whole thing, but it's a nice track overall.
