The "Sean Rage Gauge"
So we now know from Nicky's recent "Delirium On Helium" interview that it was Sean's moodiness that made them drop Empty Souls and he gets irate when Nicky and James beg and plead with him to play his trumpet live?

So if 1 is silent rage and 10 is out and out " For God's sake! Call the police quick!" rage...

What number do you think:

Asking Sean to play "Empty Souls" is?

Asking Sean to play his trumpet live?

Asking Sean to play "Adric" in a Doctor Who game?

Asking Sean to make a donation to "Children In Need"?

Asking Sean to play his trumpet live on "Children In Need"?

Asking Sean to play his trumpet live on "Children In Need" whilst dressed as Adric?

I think the needle will be off the scale for most of them to be honest...

Can you think of other situations that might register on Sean's "Rage Gauge"?

If James stands on Nicky's shoulders and wears a really (really) long coat.
And then passes him his trumpet. On the end of a stick with a Pudsey the Bear handle.
Whilst humming Empty Souls.

Loving the utter randomness of this! Or is there more to Mr Moore than meets the eye ... And hasn't Matthew Waterhouse slowly dragged himself out of the celebrity wilderness recently ...? Then again, I've never seen them in the same room together ...

Only going up to Sean after a show because nobody else has, and then, of all the Manics items to ask him to sign, you only have the Kevin Carter, Ocean Spray and Empty Souls singles with you.

Just being interviewed has gotta be one of em? I loved how passive aggressive he was in that SATT interview where he was just sat there cutting his nails.

Also why in the TOTP vid for Empty Souls does Sean kick over his drum kit, to the astonishment of both Nick and James and accompanied to the squeals of Edith Bowman? Ta!

I honestly didn't get that "angry vibe" from Sean when I met him. Not only did he shake my hand and put his arm around me for our photo, but he even joked about how I needed to lean down because I was too tall. He smiled the whole time, asked me if I enjoyed the gig and even gave me a hug before moving down the line!
