The most left wing thing I found was 'Always Sunny in Philadelphia'

Funny, I remember asking years ago why there were almost no 40+ men on FD, but numerous women of that age, and wondering whether that was true of Manics fandom in general.

I guess that doesn't apply so much anymore, I'm not far off that age bracket myself.

Fans of Dappy are more left wing than Manics fans.

I'm just going to spend the next few hours typing in different bands and people, fuck sake.

Oddly, very similar to the average demographic of crumpets.

It's real, Yougov are one of the main survey organisations in Britain. I'm on their mailing and do a couple of surveys every week. Never been asked about the Manics though.

That's very leftwing! The best I'd found was Robyn fans.

it's real, big polling company. but they have a sample who they ask questions, so it may well not be so accurate.

I am absolutely laughing my arse off at the moment Tim, thank you! Of all the things, you put in crumpets? And then it turns out that people who like crumpets also like John Cooper Clarke, Magnum P.I. and, bafflingly, murdered TV presenter Jill Dando. What the fucking Dickens is this shit? *is still laughing*

Manics fans are 40-59 year old men with centrist views and who own a cat.

I think they just sampled my husband and called it 'job done'.

I see. Well, they should change their way of research. Because... I am nowhere near that overall description!

I just went through it there and it is uncanny how UNlike me it is. I don't think I tick any of the boxes at all! You'd think with so many boxes I'd tick at least one!!

Reviving this thread because I put JDB into the search box and apparently all his fans are VERY right wing birdwatchers who enjoy France, Tofu, Lidl and drive Vauxhalls. Very specific.

I'm actually a little bit shocked.
