To prove you're actually making a valid point and not just misrepresenting the views of people who quite rightly think that PFAYM is dull as dishwater. It's not about naming names, it's about showing an example of what you're whingeing about.

Oh so now it's actually not 1994 Manics that we all want back, it's 2009 Manics?

It's got nothing to do with the "darker tone" of JFPL; it's about quality of songs and nothing else. Alot of people who love JFPL also love Lifeblood. People want interesting stuff from the Manics, not nostalgia.

Ha ha I love it when people are pedantic. JFPL was Richey's lyrics yes?
Now I wasn't whingeing but expressing my thoughts. I tried being ultra civil.

I love THB and JFPL but I also accept the band has the right to try other stuff. Clearly you can't!
You state Lifeblood, like it validates your arguments because you like a non-richey album.

I honestly can't quote people, it would take too long. Seriously please go and read the PFAYM thread. There is some very hateful comments on there
Look I am not going t start hating an album because I'm told to, the same way as you won't like an album because you are told to. Surely you accept that?
However in my defence, a little optimism and enthusiasm for the band must be a good thing...surely?!
I can't talk for others, and its hard to express what I mean, but I think that by me being positive and enthusiastic, Im kinda hoping some of it will rub off on others and maybe they will give PFAYM another try! Wheres the harm in that?
Its called being a fan, and we don't all have the same way of following them.
Sme of us might just enjoy the fact they are still going, doesn't make us wrong.

And didn't James give them a bottle of whiskey? Or was that Guitarist? I forget. Don't think giving bands awards necessarily has an effect on end of year lists.

Ha! Ha! All they deserve the majority of the time. They've redeemed themselves ever so slightly this year!

One of those 'not direct quotes' sounds like it may have come from me. I was responding to (1) the Strictly performance apparently only being two-and-a-half minutes long and (2) James being fucked at the moment with a half-serious suggestion that they could cut his lines out to kill two birds with one stone. You're seeing hatefulness where it doesn't exist there.
