I have two videos from the gig last night, uploading the first to you tube now (Australia). I'm not sure how long it will stay up for so enjoy it while you can. I also have everything must go, but I am in Melbourne on Holiday and don't intend to waste my time in a net cafe waiting for both to upload!

Viva la manics. What a great show. I am a bit disappointed that I didn't hang around afterward. Don't know what I was thinking.

Wearing my gig tee today haha

Will post back when the vid has finished uploading

So amazing. I just about died when Nicky came on in that skirt. Those legs! I was right in front of him so I got a great view when he was doing the scissor-kicks hehe

I was disappointed I couldn't make it to the FD meet-up, hope you guys had a good time! Bluehammer those pics are brilliant, thank you!

Thirded! I love 'Goodnight Melbourne'.

Well, that was definately worth the wait. What a band! They sounded amazing and had such energy, as did the crowd (I've never sung so loud for so long!)

Higlights: Faster, Roses in the Hospital & The Everlasting. Heck, the whole thing was one giant hightlight actually!

And thanks to the fans (especially the ladies we chatted to in the line). I am no longer a lonely Manics fan in Melbourne.

Here's Australia from last night. Sorry it is a little jumpy and a bit far back.

Says it's still processing.

I will upload another in the next day or so.

Setlist was:

You Love Us
Your Love Alone Is Not Enough
Motorcycle Emptiness
(It's Not War) Just The End of Love
Roses In The Hospital
Australia
This Is Yesterday
Everything Must Go
Somekind of Nothingness
You Stole The Sun From My Heart
Ocean Spray
La Tristesse Durera (Scream To A Sigh)
Suicide Is Painless
Motown Junk
If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next
The Everlasting (Acoustic)
Faster
No Surface All Feeling
Faster
Tsunami
Golden Platitudes
Tsunami
Design For Life

Loved Nicky's intro to Faster; reminiscing about himself and Richey sitting at a table at university with pen and paper, exchanging ideas. Also mentioned he thinks about him every day. Very heart-felt speech, greeted with much appreciation by the audience.

Not much variation on the Australian dates, hope you guys that have been following them around the country and are doing Perth get something new.

I tried recording this one, but there were way too many frequent dropouts. It would be lovely to hear this gig again, so anyone that has a recording please post it.

Marcel.

Uh, if any Melbourne Manics fans ever want to, y'know, organize some sort of non-gig related unofficial gathering that would be aces

Seconded

I second wanting to hear a recording of the gig if it's available. It all went too quick Now I REALLY wish I could've gone to the Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane gigs.

I never got a ticket, but on the night, I was passing by the forum with my guitar. Decided to chance my arm and knock on the stage door around the side.
"Do you have a pass?"
"It's downstairs with Martin"
"Oh, go on down then, sorry"/

Yahoo!

Wandered around backstage for a bit, looking lost and out of place. Saw the lads come out of their dressing room and thought I'd better go watch the gig. Armed with nothing but my guitar and hopefulness, I wandered towards the stage area looking for an exit to the main arena. Ended up walking across the stage behind the drum kit before I found my way out into the crowd.
Great gig. All the better that it was free
