No hate here. It could have been a CLASSIC 10-12 track album but they just overstretched themselves slightly for a debut. It's still a great album even though it's second last on my list.

The HB: the most focused and inspired work
EMG: Inspirational music. Maybe a bit dated, but there are so many great tunes here. TIMTTMY: Some Great songs, but overproduced which is a shame, otherwise it would be outstanding. JFPL: Damn good album, but lacking one or two moments of brilliance seen in albums above. KYE: A mixed bag, some great tracks and some average tracks in equal measure. GATS: some great stuff, and a bit of filler. LIfeblood: Uninspiring and a bit dull, but competent and kind of nice in places. GT: Two or three great songs - two or three decent songs, and a load of filler SATT: Bog standard and dull, save for the title track PFYM: Severely lacking in substance |

At the moment after 3 listens RTF is number 4 in my list after THB, LIFEBLOOD, JFPL.
But it's growing and I think it may even be better than JFPL after a few more listens! Musically it's genius - and I mean that. It's pure genius Also lyrically definitely Nickys best work. 9/10 would have been ten but I don't think 4 lonely roads is that good regardless of who sings it! Pleasantly surprised by Manobier as I don't like instrumentals but this one builds into a nice crescendo. Classic album |

Pretty quite my taste except i consifer PFAYM a great record. SATT is the worst manic album and yet is a very good album (a little predictable i must say) If the B-sides of SATT would have been in the record, probably it would be an OUTSTANDING album

Yeah I agree. I really love all of their discography but SATT and PFAYM are the most I can't listen to regularly. I think those two are the weakest.

I sometimes think that as a whole record, the worst is KYE because it's SO irregular...it has AMAZING tunes but it has fillers and pretty WTF songs like Wattsville Blues at the same time. Again, The B-Sides are TOP CLASS tunes, miles better than the record. SATT is a well rounded record but it's a bit commercial and uninspired (compared to the rest).Yet it has Autumnsong, Imperial Bodybags, Im Just a Patsy, SATT, Indian Summer Well, it's very very good too.
