I saw a note about the Squeeze headlining set on the day before which is going to be 45 minutes. I'd expect the same from James in that case.

Bought a ticket last night, £20 and print it out yourself. You buy for the whole day, 10am (I think) 'til 6pm, so it's not going to be a late night. Would be useful if they published a rough timetable for the day which they may do nearer the time.

Even as a guitarist, muso and prat, I find these shows very hard work. You spend the whole time wandering around thinking "this isn't the thing I'm interested in".

I'm just a prat (even though I'm supposed to be a guitarist/muso as well) and I'd still go. A lot of my mates are thinking of going so it'll be another great day out for Manics fans, especially if you live in London.

I mean, no one's forcing you to visit the exhibits. You can just queue in true Manics fan style - and that's probably what we'll be doing. Can't beat an indoor queue.

Me and James (MSPKYE) are going, purely because it's a Sunday and finishes at 6pm, so no time off work or overnight stay in London required. Couldn't give a crap about the rest of the guests or other people going (if you avoided events due to the likelihood of there being lots of annoying people there you'd never leave the house) I don't think £20 is that expensive either.

You can get a discount if you book groups of six or more people.

It involves a bit of trust and money exchanging but I imagine there's some of you on here who could take advantage of that.

Well, I've bought my day ticket. Here's hoping the gig ticket itself is easily obtained!

Might be the last MSP thing in the UK for a while - there's a thought!

(Unless... please... The Great Western II)

Well, no, because we're meant to be getting a new tour in October, and almost certainly Holy Bible shows during/after that.

Wouldn't mind going to this, but I'll probably get confused about where we have to go to get more tickets on top of the ones we have to get in in the first place and end up going for nothing Also, I have no luck with such things and probably wouldn't be in time to get one of the tickets to the set after more, ahem, "ardent" people That said... 450 capacity, was it? *has a ponder*

People always overstate the "committed manics fan" thing. You can still stroll up to the front of their gigs well after the doors open so you'll be fine at this rather niche event I'd say.

I think you'll be ok. It's a bit of an oddball gig which is going to attract a smaller portion of the hardcore than usual, plus Nicky won't be there which effectively cancels out half of the regular queuers. As long as you get to the stand handing out the tickets with plenty of time to spare, it should be fine.

Sorry man, I think Nicky girls (and guys like yourself!) act for a very large proportion of the hardcore fanbase. For example, look at the Nicky and James queues in Cardiff this year...

I did think that, to be honest. I used to be a bit of a queuer myself; probably just going by what it was like ten years ago I remember the solo JDB gigs were a fair bit calmer anyway. My brain just has a habit of catastrophising everything...

In which case, you may well see my bestie and me there
