A diary of Manics recording sessions

I've just been reading a book called 'The complete recording guide to the Rolling Stones' which is basically a chronological record of all their recording sessions. This got me wondering whether anything like this exists online for the Manics?

I recall reading an interview with Nicky in Select magazine in Autumn 1999 where he talked about two new songs they had been working on in the studio - 'Pedestal' and 'Paul Robeson' - which suggests that Know Your Enemy sessions started pre- millennium, and there have been other hints that some songs were worked on/recorded long before they ended up on an album - 'Removables' was also allegedly a THB era track that they re-recorded for EMG but presumably they must have demoed it in 93/94?

A bit nerdish I know but I find it quite interesting to get an idea of when songs were first worked on/took shape as it can give an idea of how an album started and developed.

If no such diary exists then I might start one!

There's an interview NW and JDB did recently with Quietus where they confirmed that No Surface, Elvis Impersonator and Kevin Carter were all demo-ed pre-Richey's disappearance

Weren't the B-sides for Indian Summer recorded after the SATT sessions?

The difficulty is as evidence by the GT20 box set, is that the bend used to record demo sessions before the main album session. As the they matured as musicians, demos were recorded at home or in the case of walk me to the bridge, recorded over the phone!

Technically there are three sessions from which EMG tracks are taken from. NSAF from the house in the woods session in January 1995, TGTWTBAG and Australia from the failed session with the first producer, and then the remainder from the main recording block with Mike Hedges.

It would be interesting to the see the band release a text of this nature. Until recently they've rarely talked about the technical recording process which helps to shine a light on decisions they've made about album direction and tracklisting.

Also doesn't No Manifesto state that recording for SATT started in 2005 during their break and before their respective solo albums?
