Generation Terrorists Boxset Problem

Hi everyone! Bit of a weird one this...

I bought the GT Boxset when it came out. The 3CDs/DVD/Vinyl one. I then popped it in my Manics collection and sort of forgot about it. Just saw it when going through and sorting out some stuff and realised I hadn't put any of it on my iPod.

When I got the CDs out I found that they were cracked. The DVD plays. CD1 plays. CDs 2 and 3 do not. I know CD2 is available elsewhere, but as the boxset has sold out and goes for silly amounts on ebay, does anyone know where I can get hold of the tracks from CD3 outside of the boxset? I have searched high and low!

As you can imagine I am incredibly distressed by this minor hole in my collection. It's setting my OCD right off haha!

Have you tried contacting the official store (assuming that's where you bought it from) to see if they can send you replacements?

It might be a while since it's been out, but you received a defective product, you deserve replacement discs from them if they can supply you with them.

I had the same problem. The CD holder bits were too big for the CDs and they cracked my CD4.

I got in touch with the Manics store in the summer (eighteen months after buying the set) to see if they had any spare discs. Alas no, but they did refund half the price of the box set.

Probably not what you wanted to hear, but worth trying for the money.

As with everything, they should have made the tracks available to buy digitally. Some good stuff hidden away on an extremely limited disc.

Poleaxed is quite addictive by 80s Manics demo standards.

Thank you for this.
And it might just be me, but somehow, right at the beginning, with the guitar intro, Clash'es 1-2 Crush on You popped up in my head.
