The Travelodge at Colwyn Bay (which is about 4 miles away from the venue) is currently £29 a night. Dunno what it's like though, but that's where we're staying.

The Esplanade. Few minutes to the venue, decent location.

But if there's only one room left, leave it for me.

*books last room* buaaaahhaaahaaahaa

thanks i'll have a look see. I'll find somewhere. Now to worry about the trains. Apparently the direct train from london got cancelled in 2009. I hate changing. Oh and trainline.com won't let me book a ticket past may 11th. yip. Nevemind a lil walk on the beach on the day will de-stress me. Unless it rains. Which it probably will

You can only book trains 12 weeks in advance, so you won't be able to book tickets for that week yet. Changing trains isn't that bad; I've got to change at Manchester to get to Llandudno from Leeds and have done it many times before. It actually helps break long journeys up a bit and gives you chance to stretch your legs.

It's easy to find the venue from the train station, not the hardest of places to navigate around. And yes, the seafront is quite nice. Had a few drinks and a bbq with sculptureofabloke on the beach after 2009's Journal gig, went on the pier and up to Happy Valley that overlooks the bay the following day before our train home. Nice place, therapeutic walk. Looking forward to returning.
