I haven't heard it but that is hilarious! Now it can only disappoint for not sounding like I'm hearing it in my head.

The clip on Facebook looks and sounds like it should be the intro to a daytime TV weather forecast.

They really went full-on-ABBA this time.

ABBA are cool.

Manics are cool.

snap first impression: sounds like it'd fit easily on The Great Western.

(this is a good thing)

second listen before hitting bed; would work well in the acoustic slot, or could easily replace Show Me The Wonder at the tail end of a set.

It's definitely growing on me - this is a good sign.

Absolutely love the chorus, which is better and less annoying than the IB chorus.

I like this but to be honest I want more guitars and riffs and less wide screen melancholia.

I think I might as well. It’s more intriguing than international blue, maybe not lyrics-wise and it sticks to the same verse/chorus/solo/chorus structure but it’s another album focus track (or whatever it’s called) and bodes well for the other stuff hidden away on there.

All right, I'll say it: I'm worried for the quality of the album if the band consider these two songs as their strongest tasters of it.

The band often make what, to me, are baffling choices for singles, or choose fairly inoffensive songs that won't put anyone off from playing them on the radio - Kevin Carter, Australia, The Everlasting, You Stole The Sun, Ocean Spray, So Why So Sad, The Love Of Richard Nixon, Autumnsong, Show Me The Wonder...not necessarily bad songs (I rather like several) but hardly the jewels in their parent albums' crowns. And in some cases they're done very well in terms of raising attention for the album, which is the whole point after all.

Nicky performs a guitar solo on the album.

Preordered.
