Lauren Laverne once said Nicky would be her ideal date for Valentines day.

The Horrors aren't really fans at all, I think possibly Faris doesn't mind them but the others aren't keen.

I think I remember you saying on here once that, after talking to him, you found out the Manics were Faris's favourite band when he was younger? (Might not have been you that said that, could have been one of the other people on The Horrors thread).

It wasn't me. I've never spoken to Faris about the Manics but he's said about his favourite music from his teens and never mentioned the manics. Tom from The Horrors told us he didn't like their music and Rhys was wearing a Mitch Ikeda Richey t-shirt but he said it was spare stock, apart from that my Manics related chatter with the horrors has mainly revolved around talking about Nicky Wire.

In the sleeve notes for the fab debut Kenickie album "At The Club" the Manics get a thanks alongside amusingly "Stevens, Shakin'".

This story actually made me so much more comfortable about the idea of meeting the Manics one day. I've never dared hang around after a gig, but the idea that James could go all "shy fanboy" too somehow makes him more approachable

Marwood.

Marwood,

You really should someday just pick up the courage and say hi, they are all so sweet and take the time to say hello and sign things and pose for photos for you. I've met them a few times and sometimes I'm fine and other times I get all shy and have to go hide, but I'd regret it if I didn't.

You're probably right. But...um...oh...

Noel Gallagher did an interview in 2009 before Journal saying that he "couldn't wait" for a new Manics album.

That Johnny Bovril from Razorshite lists Motorcycle Emptiness as one of his favourite songs ever.

He had someone on X Factor from Wales and he said there were a lot of great Welsh acts and he listed a few including the Manics, did'nt really mean he was a fan though
