Faster: Lyrics essay
Randomly trawling through Twitter last night. Because I'm totally rock n roll I follow lots of people to do with work (creative stuff.) Anyway, it turns out that a couple of the super cool guys on my feed are into lyrics. And James Caig, Director of Strategy at TrueDigital has written a "love letter" to the lyrics of Faster. Also discusses where it came from and what it meant at the time. Not entirely what I'd expect from those guys but a pleasant surprise nonetheless.
A nice little read I think. Have a look.

That was a great bit of analysis. I'll have to reread it at some point when i'm a little less tired.

Expanding - And flowed, flowered for him, fluid neon origami trick, the unfolding of his distanceless home, his country, transparent 3D chessboard extending to infinity. Inner eye opening to the stepped scarlet pyramid of the Eastern Seaboard Fission Authority burning beyond the green cubes of Mitsubishi Bank of America, and high and very far away he saw the spiral arms of military systems, forever beyond his reach. And somewhere he was laughing, in a white-painted loft, distant fingers caressing the deck, tears of release streaking his face. |

Liked that! I wonder if he knows that people on here have read it or not...
