Manic Street Perachers - From Despair To Where - Live in Bilbao DVD
Anyone seen this DVD? I didn't even know it existed until I stumbled across it at my local music store the other day. Great set list too, nice to see From Despair To Where and Little Baby Nothing for a change. Great to see some of the newer songs live too since the cuba dvd which is 10 years old now!

the fuck?
i know there was a good torrent of the gig they did at a festival in Portugal last year. surely this isn't an official release? edit - presumably someone has taken this proshot "bootleg" and given a "legit" release to it. seems easy enough to dl it.

Nah, it doesn't appear to be an official release, but the quality is more than half decent. A great watch, except during a couple of songs the boys are covered in light and smoke hehe.

cheers for the heads up, though. as i said, last year a similar quality broadcast of them in Portugal from the same time turned up around the net, had no idea that the Spanish one did too.

So it's a TV broadcast of a festival performance that's somehow wound up on DVD? If this can happen then surely it means the O2 gig can get filmed and released with more success and maybe No Manifesto too.

My German isn't the strongest (i.e. non-existent). Anyone know if you need to pay postage on stuff from Amazon.de please ?

Rather a lot for postage in the EU really. I like the cover. Unexciting setlist so not really worth it I think.

i am sorry to break your heart, but they didn't decide for one night to be the dream band you always hoped for - the gig actually opened with - for a change - Motorcycle Emptiness, they just didn't broadcast it and thus whoever has decided to cheekily release this on DVD hasn't included it.
this footage is sat on Dime, ladies and gents, and i would take an educated guess that whoever has released this dl'ed from there and has taken a chance. if for some reason you can't or won't dowload then i suppose consider purchasing this. on the up side not a penny will go to Sony, but on the bigger downside none shall go to the band and all of it goes to an interesting entrepreneur. tbh, looking at the setlist, file size (less than 2GB) and quality of screenshots, the Portugal one (also on Dime and beyond) looks much better.

Is this the one where Nicky is totally ignored by the cameraman?
