Manics fans are 40-59 year old men with centrist views and who own a cat

Cool little app. YouGov's profiler lets you enter a brand, artist or person and tells you what's common amongst their polling panel who like that brand.

And in an interesting twist, their favourite TV shows include Scooby Doo!

Welsh, working class, likes Formula One...

Two out of three isn't bad, I suppose.

As a 25 year old I find this quite insulting.

C2DE sounds like some sort of Star Wars thing to me. Well I guess I really must get a Saab at some point in my life and start wearing Vivienne Westwood . After all they got the gender/age/cat(s) thing, and I've lived in Wales in the past, so I feel the compulsion to start collecting the rest just so I can fit into this YouGov utopia.

Or not.

Results from the Yougov population will be very skewed though - I'm pretty active on there and my views are almost without fail in the (often extreme) minority, and I ain't that radical. I get the impression it's a largely older, centrist/rightwing group that generally adheres to popular opinion, from the results I'm shown after voting (not to be super-judgemental, but seriously, do a few votes on there and you'll see what I mean). Which makes me question how much weight should be given to Yougov results as being representative of what 'the people' think, when it really seems to be only what a certain type of people think. ANYWAY, this gadget is interesting all the same

For me, it means I don't itch.

I think I need to find a band where I fit a different demographic.

I have a cat and one item of Vivienne Westwood clothing. So all I need to do now is age, and drift politically towards the centre.

In other news, Libertines fans are slightly right wing.

I knew it! The two cats in this house belong to the other Manics fan who lives here. It's a sign!

Eheheh, this site is funny. Is it for real, like based on some collected statistics, or is it a joke? Seems a bit too elaborated to be a joke, and kinda... inaccurate? to be serious. Or maybe I have got a wrong impression about Manics overall fandom.

My boyfriend is somewhat perturbed at how right wing his fellow Guns n' Roses fans are based on this. I was a little perturbed at how centre of the road Manics fans are :-P
