Also cassettes are cool and hip and trendy now because lord knows the vinyl resurrection wasn't tragic enough, so I'm not surprised to see it crop up. Plus this band already did that with the GT boxset so there's a precedent.

I still have my Postcards From a Young Man demos cassette that came in a shoebox. This was from when cassettes weren’t cool. Which makes me cool.

Yay!

Love the title and artwork.

I got an eBay ad on YouTube before the trailer which momentarily confused me...

I liked the sounds I heard after that though.

The quote in the video is Tennessee Williams, I don’t think it says.

So, single in January or February?

"You painted with fire" and "Only the ashes now remain" that flash in the video seem like song titles to me. I'm sure I've heard the latter being floated around as a song title before.

Also a new album holy shit!

Well this 42 year old is very excited and feeling like I'm at least, oh, 28 again And I did scream like a teenager when I saw that email subject line! This is the first new Manics album/tour since I properly fell in love with them again, and I have haven't been this excited about the band since the Lifeblood era. Planning on doing Manchester, London and Cardiff - very pleased that all the gigs I really want to go to are at weekends!

I think they're being ambitious with their choice of venues.

They tend to quote lyrics rather than song titles in videos and backdrops at gigs. Given the related theme (fire/ashes), I'd guess these were lyrics from the same song.

Awful self-parody artwork and title, expecting this to be another SATT/PFYM waste of time with lyrics about Linkedin.

The cover image is a colourised picture of an anctual Samurai, called The Last Samurai by Franz von Stillfried-Ratenicz in 1881. Anyone who doesn’t like it is a cunt.

I'm ridiculously excited. I like the artwork. Title is a bit too cliche for my liking but whatever.

I just want big melodies and big guitars. Setlists with very little THB or EMG. White Les Paul and some riffs.

If you don't like the arena tour then will most definitely do a second winter leg or even 2019 leg.

Just seen that the Coral are the support for the tour.
