So, the hard rock cafe and blackwood gigs are available live on the net at the time of the gig, then the highlights of the blackwood gig are played on Red button a day later, and the hard rock cafe gig is on absolute radio at some point after the gig. have i got this right?

You kidding? The build up was almost constant for over a month before the album came out, even more than for SATT.

Shit radio stations that no one listens to? Yeah, brilliant isn't it?

They needed a few more quality TV appearances to let the masses know, some interviews and appearances on shit like they're doing now. I don't think Jools and that appalling excuse for a gig shown at a time when most people would be asleep was actually enough.

The Manics were on Soccer AM when SATT was being promoted, that's mainstream to a large audience who may not care about them otherwise, and had a hugely successful lead single (with some slightly less successful but still widely played later singles) being played everywhere but Radio 1.

I dunno, I've heard both singles played on Radio 2 half a dozen times over the last 3 months, and no promotion in any big music stores around Norfolk so eh. Good on them for getting decent reviews though.

They should get on Soccer AM before Xmas, James and NIcky on there for their solo careers was a fun watch I remember Wonder why they've not been on again? Probably all the touring got in the way?

I wish they would just decide whether they want to embrace popular culture (rawk, Kylie-pop, the pop press, Facebook, Twitter and now reality TV) or fkn deride it ('the internet', and, erm, reality TV).
