Hopefully the Demo versions will be more like the Heavenly recordings, there could be a good version of GT out there somewhere!

Wonder if they'll do a 15th anniversary for TIMTTMY next year, they really should and not just because it's their greatest work.

it was a shame there was no 10th anniversary of it, damned fine b-sides and what have you, plus it would have been ace to hear Tolerate "without the comet"!

with the recent spate of "anniversary" editions, £6-10 for a single disc version, £10-15 for a "deluxe 2 CD" and £random for "super deluxe" seems to have been the standard.

as U2, Paul Simon, Madonna, INXS and Nirvana have not had the idea to release anything in a shoebox i am afraid your guess on how much we can expect to pay for the GT shoebox.

I'd imagine we will get some concrete info about this come september if the band are planning an October release. I'd love to have the entire US mix on CD2.

I hope they do a DVD interview and the Astoria gig for the 3rd disc.

I imagine that this set will surpass the THB and EMG sets for terms of content. I only hope that if they include the videos for the singles that they are in DVD quality.

Should be a good release.
CD 1 - Remastered UK
CD 2 - Remastered US
CD 3 - Bsides & Demos
DVD - A gig, a new interview, and some TV stuff
Booklet - Pictures, lyrics, covers, etc

Could be glorious. It's my least favourite album but it could be a very attractive boxset

I doubt they'd spend an entire disc on the US version considering only about four songs were remixed.

If Manics took the same approach to reissues as Suede, it would be amazing.

It'll be like EMG

CD1: Album remastered (possible live tracks tacked on the end?)
CD2: Mostly B-sides and Demos
CD3: Interview (hopefully); Astoria Gig; TV appearances; Videos.

As long as its under £20 I will be happy.

Looks like a reasonable format. More likely than having a separate disc for the US version, I think. Unless they go ahead and remix the rest of the tracks on it, in which case there would definitely have to be 3 CDs to include demos and b-sides, plus a DVD. Otherwise, the tracks that differ from the UK release could just be tacked on the end of CD1 in place of live ones.

I'm hoping for the DVD to include cut footage from the video recordings, as well - like the suicide bride bit for You Love Us - but I'm not sure how likely that is.

i haven't put it in for a while, but doesn't GT damn nearly take up a whole disc as it is? i think for some releases (Japan?) they squeezed Motown Junk on the end, but otherwise i think it's maxed out as it is.

I think it's about 1 hr 10 min, but I'm not sure. It'd be a tight fit. So maybe the US tracks would be put on the disc with the b-sides and demos.
