A very good point - I'm going to the Heiniken Cup final and am on a stag do that weekend in Cardiff (what are the chances of slipping away from them for two hours?) but there are no hotel rooms for less than £300 in Cardiff. There were a couple of Travelodges in Barry and Newport. We couldn't get rooms a month ago.

Not that I want a load of Manics fans invading here () But Caerphilly's also got 3 or 4 PremierInn's/Travelodges surrounding it, 20 mins to Cardiff via train for £4 return then all the hotels are about 5 minutes taxi ride away.

That's probably going to be the best bet for people - do they have late train services?

Last train is about quarter past 11 I think, but Queen Street station isn't far from the arena so it's easily catchable and then if you miss that a taxi back is about £10-20 depending on which cab firm you use which is alright if there's a group

You would think that living in mid Wales means it's easier to get to North Wales by train. But no. I actually have to go out of Wales and back in again at a lovely time of 5 hours. What is the actual point of living here?

Anyway, Cardiff is an absolute definite. Wolves will probably be too.

Hmmmm, seriously looking into this, but with the flight times I need, to make sure I only need to stay in Wales one night it's 55 quid to Manchester flight and Liverpool return is only 30. So I'd need to see how much trains cost from each one. Urgh. Why am I even considering this? there's no way I'll be able to persuade anyone to go to the back end of nowhere!

I'm sorted for Cardiff. Gonna get a hotel in Swindon (about an hour away from me) and then it's about another hour and a half or so away from Cardiff. Said I'd buy my brothers ticket if he drives.

People in the know...parking sitch at the Cardiff CIA? Yay or nay?
