I just ordered one. I guess if nothing else it makes a nice companion to the LP I bought at the show in L.A.

Cheers, was cynical when reading the blurb but for £16 delivered it's not too bad.

After seeing it has no artwork etc, I've decided my collection (and my wallet) can do without it

You could of course not bother to buy it. Buying such a useless article for nothing other than the sake of it isn't really a licence to complain in fairness.

Why didn't the Manics do this "exclusive" thing with Spillers instead of RoughTrade? Or is it only RT that have a pressing plant or the facilities to press vinyl? Shame Spillers didn't get a look in anyways.

I said to the lady that this was the first time i had bought anything Manics related here and she replied that they have done/are doing some special promotions with Manics, U2, Blur next year and some other bands who i had not heard of lol.

It's a good idea in theory to get people into the smaller shops but no doubt ebay and eil will be the overall winners in the end. They might as well have pull out all the stops and just put the £100 price tag on it anyway.

Limiting it to 300 seems guaranteed to make the price go up a lot.
