"special guests" means support act. I can still hope. (Denial is a beautiful place to be! )

Just because you yourself aren't interested in hearing any new music doesn't mean that other people at least don't mind watching some other bands do their thing, I've got into many bands because they were supporting bigger bands I like.

So really what you mean is 'I don't care about them and I don't want to hear them and it may be the case for others'.
