It's a great quality reissue. A bit too loud though unfortunately. The new tracks are decent but obviously discarded for reasons of quality. Colt 45 is basically SOS which is a shame really because I was expecting it to be something new. The demos have a good deal of changes I feel. Some tracks sound better as they are over the actual recorded versions. Ill put up a proper review when I've listened to it fully.

Love play.com. I'm flying out to Berlin for a week on Monday and was convinced i'd have to wait til my return to get my grubby little mitts on this. I nearly launched myself at the postman and hugged him when he knocked on the door with it this morning. Housemates have delt with me dancing around the house and jumping up and down for an hour now. Like a kid at christmas!

The Marcus demos are generally of more value than the House in the Woods ones. This is partly because all the HITW ones have the dreaded drum machine and therefore sound (as you might expect) like cheaper versions of the album tracks, whereas the Marcus demos are more like Heavenly versions with Sean banging away.

There are exceptions to this rule. I found the HITW demo of Crucifix Kiss to be the better of the two and Little Baby Nothing bears repeated listens if only for having a different vocalist. Spectators of Suicide and Methadone Pretty have their points of interest too. At the other end of the scale, Slash 'N' Burn and Motorcycle Emptiness are one listen only. I couldn't even make it to the end of ME one time!

Got mine this morning. Box arrived fine, but the contents... oh dear. Book and print and Vinyl are all bigger than the allocated space in the box, so are all duly bent. Great!!

Mine arrived about 15 minutes ago, some of you have more efficient post men/women than round me; we don't tend to get our post delivered until 2-3pm!

Haven't had chance to listen to or watch any of it yet and probably won't get much chance this weekend, but I like the look of this boxset more than the other ones they've done recently. It's smaller than I imagined it to be.

Enjoying the demo's so far, even with the drum machine. Great package all round.

Apparently mine is at my mother in laws.... Going to get my arse over there ASAP can't wait to hear the demos. Is great to see how the songs have progressed, different lyrics, guitars parts or generally just to hear something different
