I've never heard of Poleaxed even being mentioned as a title before. Have to get this edition really.

It was on that promo a few pages back, the one believed to be false.

Wasn't it more like one person asking for a source?

Anyway, the article above that GT one on superdeluxeedition.com is about a Sony suggestion box for future releases.

http://www.superdeluxeedition.com/ne...uggestion-box/

You could suggest a black vinyl THB... or whatever else you fancy, but not before you suggest the THB vinyl.

I never said it was false, the lack of source information in the post that just had the photo is what caused me to ask where it was from!

Still no word on how much the 3cd/dvd/vinyl one is gonna be? I'm a bit scared. Fear I'm being a tad optimistic but I just hope it's cheaper than the shoe box.

And I never aimed it solely at you.

Yeah, I really hope it's not extortionate. Asking for it for Christmas and it'll probably be a no unless it's affordable. What with that plus the Velvets and Nico set and Mellon Collie, massive deluxe versions seem to be the things clogging up my wish list.

I'm betting the vinyl is the "Fuck" mix of Stay Beautiful.

If that happens I will disown the band. I am pig sick of bands putting bonus tracks on the vinyl editions of albums and singles.

(I won't really disown them but I'll be peeved)

Is there even a "fuck" mix of Stay Beautiful? I always had the impression the album version had the guitar lick from day one.

I'm guessing the vinyl is going to be either Suicide Alley or Motown Junk.

I'd read somewhere that they had to go back and overdub the "fuck off" bit to get it released as a single. I can't remember where I read it but I'll have a look around.

Edit: interview with Steve Brown: "James said, “Yeah, ok, I’ll send you another song” and they sent me Stay Beautiful! Then the next time we met, we recorded it at the Manor and James’ vocals right in the middle of the chorus are, “Why don’t you just…” with the guitar riff in there. But originally, it was “fuck off.” They sung that when they played it live, but when we came to mix it, the record company were just about to turn up, so I took the “fuck off” out, and so we had the complete production without the “fuck off” right in the middle of the chorus (laughing). I’d already sort of engineered the guitar line to get more accent there".

Kinda hints at it there, anyone's guess whether or not it's true.

Brown says the same in the documentary on the DVD. Recorded with the 'fuck off' and then volume dipped when mixed, pushing the guitar line up. One of the sections is called 'Don't put a fuck in the middle of the chorus'

It would be nice to hear Stay Beautiful with the fuck off in it. Although from the posts above, I'm still not sure if it exists or not

Does anyone know the details of the book yet? It's the only thing I'm actually interested in.

Suicide Alley as a 10"? At least a curious choice, unless somebody knows of an acetate of it in that format ...

Talking of the book, Smiling Girl (sorry it seems your "fence" turns into a square on my keyboard) and Shug, do you or anybody knows something about the date of publishing of Sometimes The Sky's Too Bright? I wrote to the new publisher as well, but no reply until now. Thanks.

I'm curious about the 10" too, not sure what to expect on that. Wonder if the demos of New Art Riot and Repeat are Feminine Is Beautiful. Be good to have UK Channel Boredom on cd finally too. Wonder why it's being left so late to announce.
