Technically incorrect. Jenny Watkins was their vocalist for three months when they first started the band at Cross Keys Tertiary College.
Random Cambridge University student. The photograph is from the Downing College May Ball in June 1991 - before their performance, the fist fight and them being escorted off the premises. Last edited by Finn; 20-01-2015 at 19:03. |

Has this ever been verified though? I thought her book was pretty much dismissed as fan fiction?

The book is utterly ridiculous (as if you'd remember conversations like that, decades later) - but the essential point is true. She was definitely involved in 1987, although brieflly. I believe Q magazine ran an article on it called 'The original fifth Manic.'

Me neither.
That quiz is bloody hard though. I'd be lucky to get half of them right |

Same problem.
Stumped on Question 4 too. Soul Contamination is a b-side of Stay Beautiful.. they seem to implying that Soul Contamination was a working title for a completely different song and they decided to change that title and use Soul Contamination for another different song? As far as I know that's been it, there's a demo of Soul Contamination as we know it on the Lipstrick Traces bootleg too. Twats.

2000AD, I bought a copy off ebay just for the few frames the Manics made a cameo in. Richey was a big fan of 200AD by all accounts
