Both are absolutely fine for accesing the tube, and whilst Southwark is a slightly better area (in my opinion) Waterloo Travelodge isn't in a bad area. Whichever's cheapest is your best option.

Cheers, I'll have to look at the prices again then. Must get onto my friends to get this sorted. I always end up leaving things to the last minute!

You should be okay for hotels when it comes to finding ones with available rooms. Only booked mine a day or so ago without a problem 30 min walk from the venue for me!

I've stayed in both recently...I'd say either is fine, although Waterloo is probably a nicer hotel, as it seemed a newer building. But I'd go with whichever was cheapest.

I'm so thrilled...
Due to these gigs being re-scheduled i'll be in London for this gig.
Managed to score myself a tix to the Friday night gig.

OMG, seeing Manics in the UK.. dream come true!!!
Got to see them recently in Brisbane & Melbourne and am hanging out to see them again.

That's great news Saffy, I have an exam on the Friday so I'll be there sometime mid afternoon, exam on the 25th but that's far away enough from the 22nd to justify me doing both. Would only have done this if it were on the 24th.

Hiya Franny & Embla Claymore,

See what 12 years of waiting to see Manics does to you??

Seriously, it is only b/c the original gigs got cancelled that means i will be in London at the same time as these gigs.

Am so thrilled to get to see them again.
the recent gigs in Australia were just awesome.

Fate is most fortuitous, say hi at the gig, it would be silly to come from Australia and not meet some other fans.

Absolutely... I'd love to meet some other fans.
Just not sure of my movements as yet.
Was thinking of trying to go down early in the day to try and get into sound check... after all you have to try

*huff* this thread has been dormant for a little while. C'mon, it's 2011 now (and a happy new year to you all ) - time to get excited for the gig again!

21 days to go for you lucky peeps! Glad James' laryngitis has had some good by allowing peeps to go to the gig who might otherwise not have been able to go. Every cloud has a silver lining!
