Manic Street Preachers are to perform an exclusive show at London's Hard Rock Cafe on 30 November, as part of Absolute Radio's monthly live recorded sessions.
A rare chance to see the Welsh rock band in an intimate setting, they will play tracks from latest album 'Postcards From A Young Man,' as well as a selection from their back catalogue which includes 'A Design for Life' and 'Motorcycle Emptiness.' The Hard Rock Presents Absolute Radio Sessions' show will be the Manics' first London gig since having to postpone two nights at the Brixton Academy on 28 and 29 October due to singer James Dean Bradfield having to rest after suffering acute laryngitis. The recording from the night will be broadcast in full on Geoff Lloyd's Hometime Show at 7pm on 6 December, with additional video footage from the gig available to watch online. Tickets to see the band perform in this exclusive setting can only be won, and fans can try their luck through competitions on Absolute Radio or by logging onto the station's website. Also, although the band's recent Brixton Academy shows are rescheduled to take place at the end of January 2011, there is another new chance for fans to see them at the same venue before the end of the year. The Manics have just been confirmed as headliners for this year's XFM's Winter Wonderland shows and will play at Brixton Academy on 15 December, tickets going on sale on Friday |

There's nothing on the competitions page about it (http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/freebies/) and it's only just been announced so I assume it hasn't opened yet?
