Suicide Alley - Sold on Ebay for £1000!
Blimey!
Did anyone see this? I wonder if them playing it at Blackwood helped to bring it into people's consciousness? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT There were some great pictures of the band at a really early gig too...and a set list written by Richie! Fab! Can anyone top that for Manic Street Preachers memorabilia? |

If I had that much spare money I wouldn't hesitate. Sadly enough, I'd sooner have that than a holiday. Not that I have holidays

No cd is worth 1,000. No matter what Richey has done to it.
Tbh, I'm actually rather angry at that person. |

Wow! That's quite a thing to have! The fact that it's got the setlist with the lyrics on is great ("guitar solo bit... ordinary bit... drum bit"!!!). And the gig fliers. Brilliant.
they do look so squeaky clean in those photos though, don't they? It's like punks in a school play! |

Aye, you're buying a massive piece of history of the band there. Probably not gonna see anything like this come up again, with the adverts, photos and setlist too. Quite a unique listing overall, I'd have quite happily paid £1000+ if I had it. By the looks of it there's more photos there too, Wire wants to try and get in touch with em for that new book he's on about.
Course, stuff's only worth what people are willing to pay for it anyway. This list always makes me feel better too: http://theloveof.atspace.com/mostexpensive.htm I've got half the stuff on that list, and everything on it I've paid less than half price, nearer 1/3. As a collector I think it's worth it, but I am a bit biased. |

The pic of them stood in an alley?
Does that suggest that it's a bootleg, then? (I really know very little about rare records...) |

About 2/3 of the original had the pic on them, the remaining hundred were wrapped in a plain sleeve and had an NME review of the single stuck to them. So what was on offer here is actually the rarest version of their rarest item...

Best I've done off that list is the Canadian Holy Bible for £20. Not £250.. I've got two different Hit Factory edits of Roses In The Hospital it mentions at the bottom, £55 for the two. Beats £125 for the From Despair To Where one |
