I thought Lifeblood was that one?

Not listened to it for over a week. Stuck it on.
It's quite good isn't it? |

The "Nebraska" project was one of the couple of abandoned projects before Lifeblood started taking shape, alongside the Cities album.
RtF is pretty much the closest realisation of the Nebraska album concept we'll have, probably.

I think you and I or the manics and I have different versions of Nebraska.

I think they meant an acoustic album - which Rewind The Film basically is. I saw an interview recently where RTF was said to be the 'Nebraska' album but I forget which interview it was.

Then it's definitely them that have a different idea of nebraska. Even the demos on Rewind The Film (which is my favourite of their most recent albums) are overly polished. If we follow on their idea of what a nebraska album is JFPL would probably be closer to Nebraska than Rewind The Film. I think they're far to reliant on their crutches of glossy production and strings to do a Nebraska at this point in their careers anyway. |

Sullen Welsh Heart perhaps, but Running Out of Fantasy is far too lush sounding to qualify as 'Nebraska-esque' for me.
I think they probably romanticised the idea of a stripped down record and then when it got down to it realised they prefer the opposite end of the spectrum and so, while hints remain, they couldn't go full 'Nebraska' |

Great video, think a vid like that would have suited 'In Eternity' more though

Nice video indeed, never really screamed single to me but it's a decent song. Sequels of Forgotten Wars would have been better but whatever.

It's on a Manics Facebook group but nominations open for Q Awards. (Stand down soldier, the war is lost)
https://www.qthemusic.com/articles/q-awards/vote Obviously LDA by MGMT won't get the response (But I still voted "When You Die" as the best track on 2018 dammit) but how about a last push to at least get Resistance Is Futile onto the shortlist? |

I'll vote.
By the way, managed to get my hands on the 7" vinyl of Internatioal Blue the other day online. It's very nice. I saw one website said it was limited to 300 copies only but how true is this?
