I once replied to a guys ad in Melody Maker who said he wanted friends who were Manics fans.
We wrote to each other for a few months - then met and got together!
That was over 7 years ago and we are now planning our wedding and getting married next year!

I had to explain to a child at school what a Penpal was I miss those days of paper and pen .. *kicks computer* I still write letters to the occasional manic fan
