They can't be short of a few bob. Must be better than looking for graduate work (cos Wire's got a politics degree, you know?). Maybe compared to other big bands of the late 90s, they're not that rich. They're not really that extravagant.

They're probably pretty rich, for all of the reasons mentioned.

I can expect James and Nicky haven't spent as much as Sean though, as they can't flipping drive, and he is the techy one. James has probably spent a fair whack on guitars, so I expect Nicky's the more careful one with his earnings.

Well James has been described as a millionaire in the press so they are very well off I would've thought. Obviously losing money isn't good but they must have felt it was worth it. Don't think they'll be joining the dole queue just yet!

They are millionaires I think, or at least were very recently like Gutless says.
Also, James has two houses let's not forget and Nicky and Sean (especially sean)
both own multiple cars even though nicky can't drive, the lazy bastard! lol
And yeah Sean's ridiculous amounts of gadgets cant be cheap!

Also, poor Nicky had to buy a hat for £1, didn't he? So maybe they're not rolling in it.
but also Nicky's got at least 3-4 pairs of Dior glasses, he must have SOME money.

Of course they are rich. It is just that they grew up knowing the real value of money and the importance of not wasting it, so would still not want to spend £25,000 without a good reason. People can be cautious as well as rich.

Tell that to Sean, with his hundreds of computers and probably thousands of sega megadrives.

That's exactly what I wanted to say And that's why Nicky is seems concerned about new bands not having the time and opportunity to develop and earn the money the Manics earned with their first albums.

In answer to your real question - all 3 are already married.

TBF Nicky wasn't making a big deal out of this. The quote was from the NME spread a couple of weeks back. He was asked the question if the tour had resulted in a loss and it wasn't like he was giving it the look at me it cost us x amount attitude. I really just wanted to know what their lifestyles are like.

James lives in Chiswick, a slightly run down area of London zone 3!
