Truly, I lament not going to the gig, I expected it to be bog standard greatest hits warm up for their festivals. Hopefully they'll tour lifeblood reissue or feature it heavily in gigs around the reissue date

Really hope they release (at the very least) an unfucked-with version of the vinyl.

I couldn't really hear what Nicky said, but he sounded excited about it. I bet they tour too...given their interest in 3 lifeblood tracks last night - even if james did seem overly pre-emptively defensive about To Repel Ghosts.

1985 and To Repel Ghosts are two of my favourite Manics songs so really hoping they become more "regular" in sets.

Would love to see a Lifeblood tour (whether full play back or throwing in big chunks of it), but after the lack of Know Your Enemy or Gold Against the Soul support gigs I won't hold my breath.

Very nice varied set list there! I hope a packed reissue of Lifeblood does come out next year and has loads of cool demos, live stuff and maybe a documentary too.
Plus it's just occurred to me, they're once again playing stuff from the Holy Bible after many years of leaving it be!!

A studio version of the Empty Souls version played at the IOW Festival would be amazing - I assume there has to be a demo or something, right?!

Will this be the last in the reissue series?
Because the original from JFPL included a demo version.

I think this would be it as everything since had the all-too-conscious-of-themselves demos included

The Great Western and IKTZ would be, to my mind, the only things left to demo. Other than B-sides?

I reckon JFPL will have some kind of reissue at some point. Im convinced there are other demos/alternate takes. We see James playing a totally different version of Bag Lady in the documentary.

Odds are slim on a JFPL re-issue. They just pretend it doesn't exist, think the last time they played anything off it was 2011? Blessing to get the album as well as a full album tour in the first place and it sounds great already so a remaster would be pretty nugatory.
