Fantasy alternative album tracklistings

OK, here's the idea: You take a manics album and all the b-sides from that era and you improve on the final tracklisting. Make any cuts you want to, change the order, but the deal is IT MUST BE FROM THE SAME ERA. Imagine you're the manics, having recorded 20 or so songs, picking which ones will be on the album and in what order.

Best to lead by example I suppose, and it's the one which is crying out for it - here's my Know Your Enemy:

01-Dead Martyrs
02-Found That Soul
03-The Year of Putrification
04-Epicentre
05-Groundhog Days
06-Ocean Spray
07-Baby Elian
08-His Last Painting
09-My Guernica
10-The Convalescent
11-Intravenous Agnostic
12-Ballad of the Bangkok Novotel
13-Royal Correspondent
14-Locust Valley
(admittedly this one would need beefier production, but at any rate it beats Freedom of Speech as a closer!)

Can you do better? Want to see Comfort Comes on GATS? Everything Will Be (IOW version) on Lifeblood? Or Sorrow 16 and Motown Junk on GT? Take it away

TIMTTMY

1. 'If You Tolerate This...'
2. 'You Stole The Sun From My Heart'
3. 'Prologue To History'
4. 'Tsunami'
5. 'Black Holes For The Young'
6. 'Be Natural'
7. 'Nobody Loved You'
8. 'You're Tender And You're Tired'
9. 'Socialist Serenade'
10. 'The Everlasting'
11. 'Ready For Drowning'
12. 'I'm Not Working'
13. 'My Little Empire'

For some reason I think the slowdown in this arrangement would work really nicely... in fact I might go and test it now.

My ultimate edition of Lifeblood;

1. 1985
2. Always/Never
3. To Repel Ghosts
4. Empty Souls
5. Everything Will Be
6. Fragments
7. Litany
8. A Song For Departure
9. Everyone Knows/Nobody Cares
10. Solitude Sometimes Is
11. Askew Road

With these tracks in this sequence, the album has a great ethereal atmosphere to it and (for me at least) represents a great pop record.

I did one for KYE years ago, I can't remember exactly what it was, but it went something like this:

'Found That Soul'
'The Year of Purification'
'Freedom of Speech Won't Feed My Children'
'His Last Painting'
'Ocean Spray'
'The Ballad of the Bangkok Novotel'
'Masking Tape'
'The Convalescent'
'We Are All Bourgeois Now'
'Intravenous Agnostic'
'Locust Valley'
'So Why So Sad'

That's not exact, but it's the best I can remember it.
